I was put on clonazepam for my panic attacks and been taking 0.5 mgs per day once or twice a day for almost a year now. Just want to know if there are any risk for being on it that long?
I have been on clonazepam for many years and while I am slowly working on my anxiety issues in therapy, I have been able to slowly reduce. Now that you have been on the clonazepam long term you can not just stop the medication aburptly as it will cause withdrawal symptoms. Whether I ever get off of it completely don't know, but don't believe there is anything to worry about.
