I'm taking 7.5mg of Mirtazapine and have a history of orthostatic hypotension which I did not disclose to my doctor as I didn't see it relevant. There was also a scare that I had an ischemic stroke when I was younger. Is it wise that I even be on this medicine when it has the potential to cause hypotension... Is it going to make things worse? I also sleep excessively and this drug makes me sleep like 14-16 hours and makes me feel like a zombie all day... Is this dose too low to cause any problems? Should I wait for a couple of weeks till my next appointment or make an appointment tomorrow/today? Thanks...
You mostly definitely should have told the doctor your complete medical history. In fact you should call the doctor and let him/her know your other medical history and what is happening since you started the Mirtazapine right away. You are risking your health and maybe your life by not giving a complete medical history to a doctor who is prescribing medications for you.
