how much and how to eat rice to get rapid weight gain?
White rice is a pure starch, which in turn, metabolizes into sugar so I wouldnt see why it wouldnt work but it can cause insulin spikes which can lead to fat gain and I assume you would rather have muscle. Brown rice would add a little more nutrients and fiber and is better for you. I think one of the best things for putting on weight and lean muscle is protein powder. Bodybuilders use protein powder supplements to help them build muscle. There are many types of protein-whey, soy, casein, egg, beef etc. Whey and Casein seem to be the most popular with bodybuilders. Check out some of the bodybuilding sites as most of them have the run downs on all the powders and bars out there. You may be able to find the answers to your rice questions there too. I do know that body builders will sometimes use rice to "weight up or bulk up" for competitions. You want to build muscle though and not fat! Yams and oatmeal are also good weight gainers. If you want to gain as much muscle as possible with minimal fat gain, only eat your simple carbs at 2 critical points in your day: in the morning for your first meal, during which blood sugar levels are low and your body is begging for carbs and quick glycogen replenishment, and immediately after your workout, when an insulin spike is necessary for quick transport of nutrients to the muscle. As far as rice, I would say a cup of cooked rice as a serving. For protein powders, follow the directions on the label.
