Sounds to me you need to look into a pinched nerve in your neck as this can cause the problems you are experiencing. I have little discs in my neck and a Nerologist found the problem and also he conducted a sleep study and with all the wires and things he found I also had restless leg syndrome. He also found at night I got less sleep than I thought I was getting I would forget to breathe when I slept. Now with a c-pap machine I feel so much better and for the RLS I use Mirapex.
Bottom line see a good Nerologist.
Wishing you good sleep !!
