My husband has been taking silodosin for a few months which he finds very helpful with urination problems caused by enlarged prostate.
He is also quite badly arthritic and has taken ibuprofen to relieve pain and inflammation of joints for several years without any problem.
However, since starting to take silodosin, when his arthritis gets bad and he takes an ibuprofen tablet, he gets a bad allergic reaction. His lips swell right up, as does the area between top lip and nose, also his cheeks and under his eyes, he gets pain in the area between his top lip and top teeth. He also finds it difficult to talk, and although his throat is not actually sore, it feels a bit constricted.
He does not want to stop taking the silodosin because they help him a great deal.
Can anyone please recommend some medication for the pain and inflammation of arthritis that does not contain ibuprofen and does not react with silodosin ?
