Treating my 7 year old toy poodle has chronic yeast infections for a year now. Antibiotics, prednisone temaril, simplicef, multiple vet visits I have added Benadryl and seems to help w itching. As soon as we get off meds it returns. Began on his belly ! Several outbreaks later his paws and now paws and ears. Belly has been clear. Eats well, plays well but constant licking and odor. Have him groomed with Selsum blue. What else can I do for him?

If its yeast antibiotics and prednisone aren't going to cure it. A fungicide is needed. My dog had a yeast infection on his chest. I used good old monistat cream on it daily, it went away. If he digs himself open he needs antibiotics for infection of the wound.
