I give up on the remeron... I been on it for over 3 weeks now and it has not helped me much... I see a new doctor for my insomnia and depression. The other doctor did not want to give me a higher dose of remeron... and all it was doing was making me hungry. She thought it would help with my insomnia... but it has not. I think I tried every anti-depressent out there. Hopefully this new doctor can solve my insomnia and depression issues. It's hard to be happy when my dad is dying and my husband works out of state and I hardly see him. Trying to stay strong but at night my thoughts get the best of me
Ok, it may be a situational problem and drugs don't do allot for that. Sad and depressed are two different things. Antidepressants work on the depression caused by chemical imbalances in the body. Also antidepressants take 4-6 weeks to work. For sleep amitriptyline would help you, but as far as depression you'd have to give it more then a 3 week trial.
