Hi alot of meds are good for sleeping and depression. I had a major depression in 2007 and had Manerix and lithium for depression and trazodone for sleeping. Trazodone is also good for depression I believe. Meds can do more then one thing depending what are your needs. I don't know about remeron though. I never took it. Hope this helps. If no one else answers try giving the pharmacist a call. They know.
Remeron is a dual med insofar as it can be used for depression and as a sleep aid. I used Remeron when it first came onto the market and I know I slept like a baby. A deep hard sleep! Remeron also works faster than other anti-depressants usually within 5 to 15 minutes from when you take it. Try to stay with it for at least a month and see how it works out. Your doctor may have to change your anti-depressant to work better with the Remeron. Good Luck :)
