You are taking a low dose of remeron. If it is not working for you,you should ask your dr. to increase the dose. Let your dr. know if 45mgs is working for you, It can be increased to higher dose for you if that's what you need. Best wishes,
When I was last on remeron about two years ago, my doctor titrated me up from 15mg to 60mg for my major bipolar depression. It seems with remeron, the higher the dose, the fewer side effects you experience (ie. sleepiness, hunger, nightmares, etc.)
I am now back on remeron since two days ago. I re-started at 45mg, and doc wants it to go back up to 60mg (considered to be a relatively high dose).
