When I read about Relistor I finally felt hope in my long struggle with constipation. For years my life has revolved around NOT being able to have a bowel movement due to my pain medication. I have taken 2 12mg doses in the last 2 days with No result. All my hope is fading. Has anyone had to give this medication time and multiple doses before they see results, or has it always been immediate (within 24 hr's) that will determine if this medication will work for you?
Hi Melissa, Was wondering how Relistors eventually worked for you? Went to a new GI Doc last month who gave me a sample of Linzasse. He said it would work 'immediately' and for me to NEVER take another enema (as this was my only resort after 12-13 days). Well, I took it, but nothing. After 12 days- the Docs office finally called back and set me up for another appt for me to learn how to take shots of Relistor. I am to go next week, but I'm supposed to take a shot every day for the rest of my life. My insurance is saying they won't pay- and each vial is very expensive- especially since my other drugs are also expensive!
I really want to know if this works before I go through all the insurance red tape and expenses. Thanks so much!
