In recurrent Tonsilitis, which is more effective, Ampicillin+ clavulanic or Ampicillin+ sulbactam?

It depends on what bacteria is being treated. There isn't one pill that does it for all bacteria.

Patient came with no sweap done,age 4yrs and 7mnths, wt 16kg... With recurrent tonsilitis. Last treatment finished three weeks ago and was Augmenten 600 mg as 5mg/12 hrs for 14 days and symptoms " temp. 40.2 c and severly inflammed with pus tonsils" reliefed... when infection relapsed two days ago with symptoms and physical examination stating redness and slight inflamation of tonsils " no pus" with 38.5 c temp. cifixime 100mg/5ml was prescribed to be taken 5ml/12hrs..after 48hrs, she claims severe sore throat and amongst examination severe inflamation and pus was found... So the physition suggested unasyn 750mg to be taken as IM a dose every 12 hrs... What do u recommend?! free discount card
