Sometimes usually I get a bad headache that could last a couple of days. It's in the left side and also around the left eye also. Sometimes it happens after looking at a computer screen for a while and especially on hot days. After seeking medical advice was diagnosed with migraine and currently using Arix,Fludan and Propranolol, Will I have to take these medications daily for the rest of my life?
Hi Chath, sorry to hear your suffering like you are, but if their is anyone who knows what your going through I am one of them. I am afraid I can not answer your question about for life, everyone is different as you know. Next time you are seeing the doctor for your migraine, I would ask him/her the same question it will be interesting as to what you are told. My migraine has always been on the left temple area, and my left eye feels like it is being pushed forward. They say I have status migrainosus, mine started last year. Good luck with yours and my hope for you is that your migraines will not last much longer for you. Liz.
I also have re-current migraines & mine are always on my right side temple & eye.
I have had Severe Chronic migraines for about 30 yrs which I was able to manage with abortive migraine meds.
Then about 6 months ago they started to become more like Cluster headaches were I would almost daily get headaches that were sometimes all day headaches.
After I went back to my neurologist & she diagnosed these Cluster headaches as
Hemicranial Headaches. You might look these type of headaches up online.
They feel like someone is hammering your temple & feels like someone is poking knives in your eye socket constantly.
So make sure you talk to your neurologist about exactly how the migraine feels.
And find out what Type of migraine you have. Best of luck, Kathy
