I have irritant contact dermatitis on my face. The doctor prescribed 8mg methylprednisolone to be taken as 2 tablets for 5 days; 1.5 tablets for another 5 days; and 1 tablet for another 10 days. The drug store gave me 16mg methylprednisolone and the doctor said to adjust and take it. So, I plan to take in 1 tablet for 5 days and 1/2 a tablet for the remaining 15 days. Is it okay? Will that be a prolonged usage of the drug? Will the drug be flushed out of my system after the duration of usage? Please help!

Btw, I'm 21 and I had measles a month back, that's starting from 4th of January. This dermatitis occurred two-three days ago.
Atriya the pharmacy should have labeled the prescription with the right dose using 16 mg... which the correct way would be take NOW is
1 tablet daily for 5 days then
3/4 tablet daily for 5 days then,
1/2 tablet daily for 10 day's this would be just what the doctor ordered. if i remember right the 16mg have a x to break the pill or get a single edge razor blade and cut them as you go so you well get the right amout each dose..hope that helps
