... physically effect me. My B/P has been spiking making me feel like heart attack. I'm a diet controlled diabetic and do not want to gain weight because it's harder to control. I've recently lost 45 lbs. Is there any anxiety meds that don't make you gain weight?
I have recently been prescribed Lexapro 10 mg for anxiety ( no depression), because it has begun to?

I have Xanax.25 for when I have panic attacks, but I don't want to take something like that all the time. I have a 14 year old with epilepsey that I have to be able to take care of if he needs me. The reason for anxiety and panic attacks is that I have been in 3 car accidents that weren't my faut in a short amount of time. The last one leaving me needing surgery.
There's no way to know if the Lexapro will affect your weight as we are all different. If you are watching your diet though, you really should be alright. If the anxiety is affecting your way of life than it is important to get that under control. It can take upwards of a month for max effects on Lexapro so be patient.
