Yes, according to the FDA document, courtesy of drugs.com, says:
"Nifedipine regularly reduces arterial pressure at rest and at a given level of exercise by dilating peripheral arterioles and reducing the total peripheral resistance (afterload) against which the heart works."
Basically it is your medication working as it is supposed to but a doctor should be consulted if it (BP) is too low or you are otherwise concerned.
