... but also would like support group to "talk" people
Here to help anyway possible. The lorazepam should help the panic attacks. Please take as prescribed and never more than prescribed. Were panic attacks triggered by something? I highly recommend talk therapy with a counselor. It can be very helpful for anxiety issues. You might check in your area for an organization called the National Alliance on Mental Illnesses (NAMI). They have support groups for some face-to-face support.
I suffered terribly with panic attacks, made worse by my prolonged Alarm Response (the attack doesn't stop for days, until your adrenaline and cortisone reserves are depleted). Ultimately, a tricyclic called Anten (doxepin) was prescribed at night as a preventative and Diazepam (Valium) for acute attacks. The lorazepam does a similar job to Diazepam (both benzodiazipines). Only use them when you need them, they're habit forming and tolerance builds quickly. I. Would consider asking your Dr for a low dose tricyclic. There are natural options too. Put me on your friends list and I'll put you on mine, and I can get back to you in a couple of days with a simple herbal tea recipe which really does work. I hope you feel better soon. We'll have a private chat about some of the other techniques I've used to control my problems. Peace be with you.
I was prescribed Lorazepam 2 years ago for anxiety and have been using it on a basis of as needed. I usually take 0.5mg and every so often a real bad anxiety attack will tear its ugly head then I will use 1mg. Works fine for me, you have tome careful of benzodiazepines as they are extremely addictive.
