After 7 months of use of Tri-Cyclen Lo, it still gives me breakthrough bleeding so my doctor prescribed me a new pill that may control my cycle better, Linessa. My doctor said I should start Linessa on the day I am supposed to start my next pack of pills, which is next Monday. I am now on my placebo pills. Should I wait till next week to start it or should I start asap? Also, should I use back up protection now and on the first week of the new pill? Or am I protected right away? Hope you could help me out. Thank you.
When its time to start a new pack you start the new brand of pills. You don't wait. Why do you girls make this so hard. No you don't have to use protection for the first week. You are continuing your protection, all you're doing is changing brands. If Monday is the day you start the next pack, then Monday you start the new brand of pills.
