can I take doxycycline ?
I have recently been bitten on the nose and am having severe tooth pain?

swollen, redness with a small scab. the 2 teeth that hurt are the ones under that side of the nose.. This happened Friday night while sleeping so I never seen the bug.
Are you running fever? Drainage from bite, nose? You might want to go see your doctor to be sure you don't need an antibiotic. You should never take leftover antibiotics as a self treatment. If nothing else, call your doctors nurse and ask if you should go ahead and take the doxycycline. But, I feel certain your doc will want to see you to be certain of whether or not you have developed infection from the bite. In my humble opinion, it sounds like you have. It might be a good idea, if you tolerate it well, to take benadryl (25-50mg) in the meantime. If you are having a reaction to the bite, it will help tremendously with that.
