... if I want to take it since I already have cancer in my family and I do not wish to increase the probability. what do you recommend ?
Hi there , what are you having the humira for ? I have ankylosing spondilitus and was disabled with pain for many months before they came up with a diagnosis and offered me humira . It is miracle , from day one of injecting I now have full movement and no pain at all ,honestly .
I too was very nervous about taking it and also have cancer in the family but not genetic familial ones .
The consultant said to me think how very very lucky you are to be offered it ,there are people crying out for it but can't get it because they either don't fulfil the criteria or their health board will not fund it as it is extremely expensive.
Every medication carries risks so you need to way up wether your quality of life Wil be better for it , mine most certainly is .
I hope you find this useful please contact me again for any other tips
