Other than acute extreme pain. Why would a shrink give so much of this medication out basically to the point where the pharmacy is out of that medication? If anyone out there has an answer for me. Please, enlighten me!
I'm with you. I can't imagine a psychiatrist ordering a pain med, period. And a variable amount isn't even allowed. How many were prescribed a day? For someone who hasn't been on pain meds, that's one heck of a lot of drug. Figuring if he was allowing for 4 a day ( figuring on the amount a month) that's 120mg, more then most pain drs will prescribe.
