... short period of time. I have been on this drug now for at least 4-5 years. And no stops in between. I take it for ulcers and acid reflux. Has anyone else ever taken the drug continually like that?
I too have taken Omeprazole (Prilosec) once a day for over 10 yrs.
Because GERD is a continuous disease it's safe to take once a day. I myself take 40 mg a day.
As you know Omeprazole is prescribed for GERD, duodenal ulcer & h-pylori.
If you're still concerned about taking Omeprazole daily then I suggest speaking with your doctor.
I've been on a similar drug for years .
I think their concern is that people are taking this medication without going to a doctor for a diagnosis.
It's different when you have had a work-up and diagnosis where the med is the treatment of choice.
Does that siuns clear enough . It's very early here and I haven't been to sleep.
So if you have questions just ask away.
