I am concerned on this. I am a 40 yr old male, 1.7m, 60 kg.
I tend to agree with MoSs answer on this one. I have taken atenolol for A-Fib for years. I am 65 & have very normal blood sugars every 3 months. Now on the other hand my hubby also takes altenolol for his heart & HBP, but was predisposed to diabetes ,& has type 2 diabetes anyway.(which is adult onset) If memory serves me correctly he wasn't on atenolol before the diabetes showed, & his Father was a bad diabetic, type one, his daughter is type one also. So if it's in your family, yes you may have a predispostion, but if not I wouldn't worry about it at all if not... Mary
