My stomach randomly starts to hurt at first it use to be just on my right side of my stomach. Now it will start hurting on the right side or entire stomach and sometimes the pain will travel to my lower left side of my back. I get shaky and sweaty and I have to move or grab on to a pillow to help with the pain. Only last for like 5-10 mins. Like I said it only happens randomly. I can't figure out if there is something that triggers the pain. It happens unexpectedly. Any suggestions would help!
I'm sure you would know if it was gas, so I will go on the assumption that it is from something else. Since it is transient, I would guess that you are having muscle spasms. But if that is the case, the spasms are being caused by something, like a food sensitivity or Irritable Bowel Syndrome, ulcer, etc. Let your doctor know about these attacks so that he/she can either refer you to a gastroenterologist or order testing to find out what is going on and causing the pain. In the meantime, keep a journal of the times you have pain, foods and medicine you have ingested, stress level, pain intensity, pain duration, etc. This will help you and the doctor to find a pattern. You can also try one of the OTC meds like Prevacid or Zantac until you can see the doctor. Hope this helps.
Also, are you experiencing constipation or diarrhea? Have you had abdominal surgery ever, including appendix? Do you have a tear in the abdominal wall where your intestines are pressing out? I suggest you get to a doctor and have a quick checkup. There are many possibilities and some could be the sign of a real problem to be treated. For example, does colon cancer run in your family? The list gets long, best to see what it is.
