I generally enjoy my life. I have a nice home, wonderful family, friends, a job, etc. But for some reason I have extreme anxiety moments for no reason. I am not stressed, I am not worried. But when these moments come it confuses me and makes it worse because I dont understand why its happening. Any advice or tips would be wonderful thank you.
Those anxiety moments can be unnerving.
There could be different reason for the extreme anxiety moments to occur. Best to start from the bottom up. Get a physical from your doc with lab work. It could be organic, like thyroid, early periomenapause or a simple heart issue. Or maybe a therapist could make sense or it's origin. If all that checks out, then maybe it could be general anxiety disorder which a psychiatrist may be of value.
Maybe exercise or mediation, yoga or learning to breath through one may help. If they continue to come more frequently it may be best to try to get it under control, as it can effect your health and quality of life in the long term.
Hope you get answers soon.
I get what you are saying. I can relate to your anxiety. I have a very mundane, relaxing job. A relaxing home. An easy life. But, at times, and unexpectedly I have extreme anxiety to the point where I loose my appetite and temper. Most people attribute this to me being a veteran so its acceptable. Sometimes it causes issues but sometimes it resolves issues in my favor. Its a curse and a blessing. I know that sounds horrible but this is how I've managed it. Try to find something in your life like that. Things will go a lot smoother.
sometimes when everything is going really well it causes underlying stress.
It's easy to worry that something may go wrong annd upset the apple cart.
My first concern is that it is your thyroid.
Get your physical exam and labs. Try to get the doctor to order the complete thyroid work up and not just the TSH.
If all comes back negative, go get counseling. You may need help gaining insight into an underlying stress condition. It is better to discover the cause then to take medicine.
