Am a lady in mid 50s wanting to go to gym to body build and have seen that people take creatine to aid the muscle building process but have heard conflicting comments about the benefits or lack of , of using it
There's no interaction between the two but you should call your doc and tell him that your going to start taking it and make sure it's safe for you, also you should take a multi-vitamin and extra protein with the creatine because creatine will not work as good without the extra protein, the powered mixes are great for after your work out, you can buy it at GNC or alike stores, my husband has been a weight trainer so I have learned a lot about this stuff, so you drink the mix right after you excersise, it's very important because it helps repair your muscles and gets the nutrients to all parts of your body, hope this helps
Also if you decide to start supplementing creatine just make sure you cycle off of it like your supposed to... extended consumption of this supplement will lead to unwanted weight gain as it works by basically forcing nutrient rich water into the torn muscle cells that occur when weight training in addition to rendering the supplement ineffective as your body will become use to it..and a side note if you have any existing stomach issues they will get temporarily worse if you go too cheap on the supplement.. Remember u get what you pay for in supplements but always always always do your own research!!! BODYBUIILDING.COM has a pretty good rep..and no I don't work for them!!
