I also have been on Lexapro 9 years. I'm taking the 1.0 in four .50 doses because it's wearing off after 4-5 hours. Even this way I'm still having some breakthrough anxiety. This started a week ago after a bout with the flu. Before the flu I was anxiety free for 9 years. I'm just wondering if the breakthrough anxiety and medicines wearing off will get better? I'll have one good day, then a bad day. I've been on the new dosage three days now. Will it build up in my system so it won't wear off? Help!!! Please
TKMarsh; I think I answered you once on this. TK. But they way the Klonopin is working on you now I really think after a bought with the flu. It really wears the body and mind down. so it is very, possible that this is all it is but it could take a week to 10 days to get a good blood level of the new dose of the Klonopin. But in the time you were sick many times it throws all the chemical in our system off Encluding the Lexapro but I would not want to change that the Klonopin should do the job. But even you worrying so much about it can throw you off where your not absorbing the medication correctly try to give yourself a break and not think about it stay on the positive side of things and I am sure this is going to kick in any day now. Trust me to try not to worry so much the brain is a very powerful organ. Good luck you should be feeling better any day now. Chuck1957
