This all depends on what form you are on (capsule or tablet) and when you last ate before taking it. I have been on both and I think the tablets, which I am on now, usually hit me faster than the capsules. On an empty stomach, it starts taking effect for me within about half an hour (I can feel it in my muscles etc.) and normally is fully functioning within 45 min. to an hour.
However, like I said above, Tizanidine's onset time is very related to your last food intake time and the tablet form works differently than the capsules do with regards to this, so it can be a bit tricky at first with regards to a dosing schedule etc.
