I'm desperate for help with my depression, but feel I'll get more depressed if I put on any more weight.
I have a friend who takes it and he is skinny.
Currently on 450mg of XR, and put on about 10lbs from it. I work a physical job and hit the gym 2-3 days a week as well (which added another 10lbs). So even though I gained 20lbs in the last 2 years, I'm actually better off. Psychiatrist asked if I had lost weight 2 weeks ago.
I try to have granola bars, protein bars, and fresh fruit on hand for snacking. Keeps me from eating EVERYTHING within reach.
The only way you can gain weight is if you eat food when it gives you the munchies. Very few people get metabolism disorders from quetiapine. It helped for me to be on the XR variant and I have only lost weight since.
