I have been wondering about that, do it help me with nervousness, stress, and flashbacks of talking about the trauma?
Look up what the drug is supposed to treat. It's an antipsychotic drug used to treat people with schizophrenia, bipolar manic depression, scicosis. I take this drug because I have bipolar and scicosis. I hear voices in my head and have hallucinations. Yes this drug makes you very tired. It has to in order to silence and keep the scicosis under control. It also has to keep the mania attacks under control so you don't hurt some one. Having a combination of these two is not good. I also have p t s d and panic and anxiety attacks. So bad that I have passed out and one time had a seizure. I take 400 mg of this drug. I also at bed take Xanax 2mg. For my anxiety because I have severe anxiety about going to bed. That is what Xanax is for. It also makes me sleepy which is a good thing. I don't take Xanax during the day because no matter what strength I fall a sleep.
So I take 5 mg of valium. Which is also for panic and anxiety attacks. I don't fall a sleep on that on. It takes away the butter fly effect and racing effect and brings you back down. These two drugs are what they give people who when they go for an m r I and they say there claustrophobic because it relaxes them and stops them from panicking. If you don't have schizophrenia, bipolar,or scicosis. If you don't hear voices in your head. This drug is not for you. The side effects are not worth the risk. Ask your dr for Xanax or valium. As far as flash backs , I do get them and they are very very upsetting. I take a valium before I get in the show because I something very bad had happened to me in there. The flash back comes with such great fear that I'm scared to shower and close the curtain. So I take an anti anxiety drug in order to get in the shower also to go to bed at night because of the fear. An antidepressant and a anti anxiety might be better for you. You may not want to hear this but for me I read scripture and meditate on that and try to pray away those demons. I hope this helps God bless you
