I like Wildcat and Chuck's response.
I took Wuetiapine (Seroquel) for sleep.
It didn't work for me.
It's an anti-psychotic but used off-label for sleep.
Read the side effects.
I was hungry all the time especially at night so I gained 20lbs overnight.
Worst of all, I got a fast heart rate and my blood pressure dropped so I'd get up and passed out. I ended up with a fracture finger and subsequent surgery from the last episode.
Remeron did the same thing. I ended up in the ER with a BP of 80/50.
I now take Trazadone for sleep with Ambien.
I hope this helps.
I use the lowest dosage of Quetiapine... 25 mg. With 1/2 tablet of .5 mg of Clonazepam before Supper... later evening.
I too have the "increased appetite"!
I eat plain Rice cakes or drink more water.
You're not alone and this sucks but we can sleep and feel closest thing to our "normal"!
(Oh... to awake and feel refreshed!) ;)
