a difficult time. I am grateful to each any every one of you for being understanding, kind, supportive, and even a little "kick in the behind" when I needed it. Thanksgiving is upon us and I just want you all to know I am thankful for each and every one of you. Starting around 4 a.m. Sunday morning I spent some where around 38 hours in the ER, vomiting blood, abdominal pain, etc. I am simply not able to prepare the traditional dinner for this holiday and am going to use this time to write a few letters to ones close to my heart, things I may not get a chance to say in person. I wish you all the best of holidays!! You are loved and cared about - what a wonderful thing, even in the midst of despair, as I am. As "Chuck" replied to me, stand proud, in what ever your situation is. Happy Thanksgiving to all!!!
I will pray that you wake up Thanksgiving feeling strong and healthy. I hope you will get a turkey dinner, even if it is take out. I must ask, how is Tom doing? I hope that he is faring OK with his illness. Is he still getting chemo? My prayers are lifted up for him daily, just as they are lifted up for you BYR. It sounds as though you did not get good news at the ER. I hope you will allow us to give you the support you need. We will always be here for you, my friend. Happy Thanksgiving to you, too!
Love and Big Hugs!
You have sure been having a lot thrown at you recently! I hope and pray that this next year will be a nice, quiet, uneventful, healthy one for you! I think you are stressed to the limit and your body is rebelling! It is good you are planning a quiet holiday. Use the time to de-stress and refresh! Hang in there as the saying goes: This too shall pass.
Enjoy your time with family, friends. Whether eating turkey or on a liquid diet, it doesn't matter. Share love and feelings. Have no expectations so the day remains a surprise no matter what. Be kind to yourself as you show kindness to others. Though you have dealt with death, there are the living around you still needing love. Share your blessings in whatever form they come. You will be fine. Karen
PS. Isn't it time to change your name tag to one more hopeful?
