I am wondering what drug catagory Citalopram falls under. ( barbituate, benzo etc..)
Citalopram is an antidepressant in a group of drugs called selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs). It affects a naturally occuring chemical in the brain called serotonin, which helps to improve certain mood problems, but may become unbalanced and cause depression.
