Hi I need someone's help. I haven't been taking my pill for about a month now I've had 1 period since coming off the pill (7 day break) and I haven't had one since. And I have been having unprotected sex. Also I have been on the pill for 5 years will the pill be out of my system now or will it take time?
If you are trying to get pregnant and you have been on the Pill a while, they usually recommend you wait 3-6 months for the pill to get out of your system and for you to begin cycling normally. Many women do not wait that long however. If you are trying to become pregnant, be patient. It can take 6 mos to a year for the average woman to get pregnant. You are really only fertile 3-4 days a month. Sometimes ovulation kits can help. It always seems easier to get pregnant when you are trying NOT to get pregnant! Just relax and let it happen. The more stressed you are about getting pregnant, the harder it seems to be. If you try for a year and still are not pregnant then it is time to consult a Dr.
