Getting a different drug shape, imprint & size for the same meds I was taking example; Been taking GLIPIZIDE XL 10 MG TABLETS; submitted re-fill and got filled GLIPIZIDE ER 10 MG TABLETS; I'm not sure if I should take the medication.
I work in Medicare and can tell you that both XL and ER are an extended release version of the medication. you can always consult your pharmacist to be sure. different manufactures use different shapes and or colors. and if you got the medication at two different pharmacies that is likely the reason. Consult your pharmacist
