... first blood work on 3/31/15. When I started my viral load exceeded 30million and had elevated AST's & ALT. HCV RNA came back NOT DET and my ALT's & AST's were both lowered to acceptable levels. Am I excited? You bet! No celebrations yet. This is my forth round of treatment over the last 15yrs and nothing has had this response. Been approved for 24wks so there's a long way to go. I eat well and work out so the medication hasn't slowed me down. Minor side effects, runny nose, some flu like symptoms, an occasional headache, and slight insomnia. I drink a lot of water and seems to help the headaches mostly. Will update as I proceed through the treatment. Hope to be dancing in the streets when this is over and the virus is gone
