I was in a really bad car accident about 2 years ago about 2 months after my accident they started me on lorazepam, took it for 7 months and the Dr said it wasn't helping he put my on Xanax for a month and it helped, but he said it was habit forming and stopped treatment, I've been on 8 anti depressants in 2 years and Xanax is the only thing that helps. But for the past 7 months I've been taking 6 to 7 2mg Xanax a day... I wake up wanting to die from going through this everyday and find more pros for death then cons.
If you are using it to treat anxiety or panic disorder, you should not take more than 10mg per day which is the max limit. You are a bit over the normal range of dose even though it might not considered as megadose. However, overdosage can cause quite some adverse side effects, just to name a few - exacerbate your condition, getting you more agitated, confused mind, dizziness. Xanax is highly habit-forming and you are experiencing very uncomfortable side effects, you really should talk to your doctor about dosage adjustments or drugs switching.
