I had been on the birth control pill for 3 full months but kept spotting from the 3rd month up until the middle of the 4th month when I got my period a week early. I went to my doctor and she decided that I should get a different birth control. She said tht I did not have to worry about wearing condoms because I could treat that week as my placebo week. (So I skipped an entire week of the hormone pills) However as I started researching online I saw that everyone advised other ladies to take the entire package of bc even if their period came early. I have already started the new birth control and had unprotected sex but had only taken 6 pills. This is also during my ovulating time according to the ovulation calendar. Did my doctor give me the wrong advice? I'm making an appointment tomorrow but I am worried sick right now.
