I've been on Tri-Sprintec for 2 months now and I've taken it religiously. Now I'm three pills into my third pack. Today I had sex and the condom slipped off and he ejaculated inside of me. Should I go buy tge plan B pill?
NO, NO, and NO!!! What exactly do you think that you are taking the Pill for?? After the first week, you are fully protected and condoms are only needed to protect you from STDs, NOT contraception-your pill does that job! Tri-Sprintec and other birth control pills are 99.9% effective which means your chances for pregnancy are less than 1% when you take the Pill correctly. Plan b is only 80-95% effective which still leaves a 5-20% chance for pregnancy, depending on when in your cycle you take it but you absolutely DO NOT need it. Look at it this way, the Pill-birth control pills, prevent you from ovulating, this is how they work. No egg=no baby. Plan b is designed to DELAY ovulation a few days. WHY do you need something to delay ovulation if you do NOT ovulate? It makes no sense whatsoever! I dont know why everyone has this belief that Plan b is the BE ALL/END ALL in pregnancy prevention!! It is less effective than your Tri-Sprintec! So NO, NO and NO do NOT buy or take Plan b! You dont need it and you dont even need a condom if you are having sex with one man and he is having sex only with you and you are both disease free!
