I had intercourse March 6th, the day my period ended, and I had intercourse again Wednesday, March 8th. My boyfriend had felt like he ejaculated in me, so we went out and bought a Plan B pill. I took it Friday, March 10, and we had intercourse an hour or so later. Monday night, March 13th, I started seeing a light pink spotting, and it became darker the next morning. Ever since then I have been bleeding, or spotting, on and off over the weeks. I am expecting my period to come this week, going into next week. What does this mean?
It just means you've taken a huge dose of artificial hormone. Symptoms from doing that. It doesn't say if you are pregnant or not.
The Manufacturer states that you are not covered for any sex that you have once you've taken the pill. Therefore you may find it didn't work for you as you also had intercourse after taking it.
Plan B isn't as reliable as regular hormonal birth control. In fact, if you're fertile/ovulating, then it may not work at all: you'd need one of the other 2 methods of emergency contraception (an IUD or the other pill, Ulipristal Acetate.
Most women ovulate around 2 weeks after the start of their period, although it can vary.
The Plan B you took, may have been in time to delay your ovulation for a few days, so that any sperm from his pre-cum/pre-ejaculatory fluid or his cum/ejaculation (either can contain sperm, no matter what) could leave your body. That's the way Plan B might help.
Your periods may take time to get back to their normal frequency, assuming you're not pregnant. As you can bleed during pregnancy, you should do a pregnancy test when your period is due to start.
If you get any itching or nasty smell with the watery discharge, then see your doctor, as it could be something other than the Plan B.
LouisArc, to the rescue as always I can't tell you how much this means to me let alone the people that are asking the question. And Lois I was ill with the flu for 5 plus weeks terrible. and during my high fever, i typed a stupid joke to you and it was wrong I just want to say I'm very sorry if I offended you in any way. I value our friendship way too much to upset you. And again I am sorry but I was really not myself.
hugs and hopefully forgiveness.
