When I close my eyes to try to go to sleep images in my bed get extremely large to the point I feel like I can't breathe and I have to open my eyes to calm myself down and breathe right.
Is this just my anxiety?

Probably. My son used to complain of things appearing bigger then getting smaller when he was tired. It could be stress, it could be just tiredness that your eyes "play tricks on you". It sounds like the feeling of this is making you feel panicked and that part is anxiety related. Have you tried slow deep breathing, meditation, progressive relaxation before bed?
