I currently pay $40.00 mo. for Spiriva 18MCG 30 count. I also have other meds that I purchase monthly. Once I hit the Medicare donut hole my co-pay will be around $150.00 per month and being on a fixed income will make it very difficult for my wife who also takes many meds to afford eating. Is there something that can be done?
There are problems when we have medicare to get assistance, because even if medicare isn't paying for the med at all, many places will not help us. This means things like discount pharmacy cards or coupons for a drug can't be used either, for the same reason. For this manufacturer you have to be ineligible for medicare in order to qualify. You can try pparx.org. There is also copay.org you can try for help.
Call phizer 1-800-556-8317 or phahelp.com.
I Am Also on medicare and I qualified for help.
also ask your pulmomary doc for some Samples. mine will give them to his patients all the time when things get difficult. he told me spirvia is one of the meds they alway have samples of. But you Have to ask. In fact all drs have samples. my pcp even has samples of inhalers.
