I have been on qsymia off an don for about 2 years. I have stayed pretty consistently at 280 from my regular weight of 295. My doctor however is wanting to take me off the medication saying that long term it is not good for my heart. Can anyone clue me in on this?
He's thinking of the phentermine and the problems that came up when it was mixed with fenfluramine. Those problems aren't what phentermine alone has.
I would have a chat with him, and I'd have info with me about it.
Its probably not a good idea to depend on a diet pill long term tho. Don't you think at this point you could keep that off without them? You know how to do it now.
