I have fibromyalgia and don't know if the increased muscle cramps and pain is due to the Qsymia or just a coincidence. I have taken 12 of the free start up pills and haven't noticed any change in appetite or anything. I'm thinking there's not much to this medicine at this point.
I have been taking it for about 3 weeks now. I haven't noticed any change in my appetite either, in fact, I am more hungry, but I have been eating less on purpose. I am trying to make this worth my while. At a $150/month. This stuff is expensive. The only thing I noticed was the very first time I took it. About 5 minutes after taking the first pill my toung went tingly. However, it lists tingly feelings as a possible side effect. I haven't had that feeling since then.
I do not have any health issues but am taking Qsymia for over 2 months successfully but am now having issues that my doc is thinking might be polymyalgia rheumatica. BUT... bone and muscle pain is a side effect of Q. I am going to taper off using the purple pill and stop Q for awhile and pray it is the culprit. I have enjoyed the help with loosing weight but hate PAIN!! lab tests are next.
I also have Fibromyalgia (FM) and Chronic Myofascial Pain. Qsymia is not licensed in the UK where I live. I think it may be a new drug, as I have not read about it before. It can cause muscle pain or cramps as a side effect see
As you may know it is made up of two drugs. One of them is Topamax (Topiramate). This is used to treat FM inconjunction with other drugs . It is also used as a sleeping aid. You may know this already. I am hoping to try Topamax very soon myself.
Hello, I def. have! my legs have been very painful to the point it's been difficult to walk. I have lost lots of water and decreased appetite with success but would rather give up the pill and try something else. If you read the side effects this is one of them. I have loaded up to nearly 2000mg of magnesium daily and 1000mg of potassium daily. that is a lot and that comes with side effects and doesn't work all together.
