... time I have ever used a hormonal birthcontrol. I called my gyno this Friday and they said to leave it in. But I've never had a period last this long. I took it out today. Should I put it back in or leave it off until I speak to my doc tomorrow?
You should have followed their advice and left it in. It is just your body trying to get used to the new hormones. It would have stopped eventually. If it has been out longer than 3 hours, you will be starting all over again so you might as well leave it out. The best way to acclimate your body to the hormone changes is continual exposure to the new hormones. Eventually the hormones in the birth control will suppress your own hormones and you will regulate out and have your period the week the ring is out. This can take a few months to become regular.
