I was told this product is no longer available. I can't tolerate other products and this one worked great.
This stuff has been off the shelves for many years, since like 2008 or 2009. Any drug with pseudoephedrine in it has been moved BEHIND the pharmacy counter (it is still officially OTC sort of-you have limits to how much you can buy and you have to show ID because they track sales being that it used to be bought in rather large quantities to make meth) I dont know if Drixoral was just one that they decided to stop making due to low sales or the behind the counter status or what? If you look carefully, anything out on the shelves (it may look the same except it says PE for instance Sudafed PE, but this doesnt contain pseudoephedrine, it contains the less effective phenylepherine) Even Nyquil, which is a liquid, the real old original formula can still be had but you have to ask at the pharmacy counter. Drixoral, unfortunately is no longer being made.
I think it used to be made by Schering-Plough and they were bought out by Merck, I believe, so they may have made a decision to just d/c this product. The closest you can get is the Sudafed, which you have to ask for at the pharmacy counter, and Clor-Trimeton with it, or Dimetapp Elixer which contains pseudoephedrine and brompheniramine (which, again, you'll have to ask the pharmacists counter for it). Drixoral was pseudoephedrine and dexbrompheniramine.
