Also panic attacks
Angel; I am wondering the same thing as Wildcat is, You really should not stop taking the medication without talking to the doctor many of them can be rebound on you. And whatever you get from the doctor the 5-htp is not going to work as well. I think you should talk with your doctor before stopping your medication. The side effects can be very serious on some of the medication used. If you are having a side effect and that is why you stopped you need to let the doctor know there are many ways around side effects.Or other medications. Please give your doctor a call in the morning. Chuck1957
Angel, Angel, Angel... !!
5 htp is highly overrated, and not effective by itself in treating any mental conditions as far as I am concerned. I speak from experience. It was like a placebo for me. At one point, I actually spent hundreds of dollars on natural supplements for my health. I was desperate to feel better.
Please talk with your doctor about changing your medication regimen. You really should not quit any medications without consulting with your doctor. I also believe in natural treatments and natural supplements, but many times they are good for augmenting a medication regimen, rather than replacing it. Please call your doctor. You can really hurt your health if you don't go on a dosing down schedule to wean off of certain medications. The withdrawals can be long lasting. Good luck and let us know how you are doing. "G"
I'm going to try and help you out here.
You just want to be normal again but by being on medicine you don't know if your fixed yet.
Am I right?
If not, please explain your thinking in making a conscious decision to stop.
Would you describe your personality as being impulsive?
If not, how would you describe yourself?
