... scales are horrible. I can sit and dig it out and I use craddle cap and a small comb. I have tried vinegar but it smells so bad. I can't afford to go back to the dermatoligist, they only gave me creams to put in my scalp that didn't work and made my hair look greasy. I use a theraputic shampoo fro Walmart it has tar in it but relly doesn't work but relieves the itching for a few hours. Please if anyone can help me???
Get yourself selsun blue shampoo. There is a liquid called diprolene that is usually used for scalp, funny the derm didn't order that for you. If you put warm mineral oil on your scalp for a short time before shampooing you can get more of the crusts out. I had a patient who came home from the hospital in that shape and I got it all cleaned up in a couple weeks doing the above.
