My husband and I are trying to have a baby and the Dr told me that provera would put my ovulation back to normal seeing as I was on depo and it messed my ovulation up I've tried almost everything and its frustrating what do i do ?
My advice... stop taking more drugs (the Provera) & use a natural alternative called agnus castus.
I was on Depo for 18 years with a couple of breaks, & know that it can take up to 18 months to regain your fertility, according to the Manufacturer. However, on several of the breaks I had from Depo, over the 18 years (you're not supposed to be on it longer than 2 yrs in one go), I bled for over 2 years, & heavily, when I tried to do without Depo. Provera didn't work for me, & neither did the laporoscopies & D&Cs!
I finally stopped Depo once & for all in 2013, & on that occasion I'd been told about agnus castus helping to naturally balance your hormones. I used it at the higher dose for about 2 months, & my periods came back into a regular cycle by the end of the second month. I now use the maintenance, lower dose, to control my PMT. It's been brilliant for me.
I use the 'A. Vogel' brand, as it's really good quality herbs. I get mine from Amazon, but health stores should sell it, too.
You can't use agnus castus when you're using any form of hormonal contraception, but I'm guessing that doesn't apply to you, given that you're trying to conceive.
Good luck :)
