... heard you must wait at least one month?
The manufacturer states you are safe after seven consecutive active pills. many docs, though, will tell you one month because that is the surest safest way. After one month, you have gone a complete cycle with the hormones so to be on the safest side, they say one month. You should start either Day 1 of your period or the first Sunday following the first day of your period if you want to be a Sunday starter. Remember that birth control pills do not protect against STD's and condoms should be used for STD protection. After seven days, condoms are not necessary for pregnancy protection, however, the Pill protects against pregnancy so if you are sure that your partner is STD free, a condom is not necessary for pregnancy protection.
