I drink wine most days so am worried about the combination.
Propanol is a beta blocker for people
suffering from heart problems. No where in the information about this drug recommended it for anxiety! It stated that doctors be aware of a patient suffering from depression before percribing it. You ccould suffer serious side effects and I seriously advise you to talk to another doctor or pharmacist immediately before continuing on this medication for the heart NOT ANXIETY. What kind of physician
are you seeing, a GP or Specialist?
Please call for professional advice from your pharmacist ASAP as they are very educated and experienced in all mmedications and drug interactions.
I was prescribed Propranolol 10 mg as needed for my anxiety symptoms. It can be prescribed as an off label med for anxiety. I stop taking it. It made me very fatigued and more depressed. For some people with anxiety it works, it just did not work for me. I always take to the side of caution when mixing alcohol with meds. I would talk to your doctor. My thoughts are with you :)
Folks; Just from my own symptoms; I know one thing the regular tablets just increased my depression I started Propranolol 80mg Sr. timed release for my migraine headaches once a day worked fantastic and also helped the symptoms of my anxiety you won't find it in most the papers and such this is what they call for off label use when the doctors find medications working very well for other purposes And it also made my alprazolam work much better than it ever did and my blood pressure is great no migraines helps my anxiety and the anxiety is better when im on it with the alprazolam. but for me it had to be the timed releaseand this has been at least 25 years now so just have to count the benefits over any side effects which with this beta blocker they are not as bad as others they had tried on me.
This has been used for this purpose for as far back as I can remember like people giving speaches in crouds and bands that would panic on stage. Inderal or propranolol again this is for off label use. Chuck1957
